We will practice making quilt blocks with;
Easy one color machine embroidery,
Paper piecing,
English paper piecing with hexi's by machine, hexi templates included,
Curved seams for the Drunkard's Path motif.
Square In a Square Between Fence Bars for the top & bottom borders.
Putting It All Together
Choose fabric and thread colors to build your neighborhood in the palette you want, choosing colors that mirror wood, stone, brick, sky, gardens, trees, and even pavement. Semi solids will be needed for the background of the 14 embroidery blocks. The sample quilt uses 8 unique pieces for the main blocks. Three unique pieces for the borders. Then a layer cake of various complimentary prints.
